Background

According to the The Columbia Encyclopedia, the Archimedes' Screw Pump is:

"a simple mechanical device believed to have been invented by Archimedes in the 3d cent. B.C. It consists of a cylinder inside of which a continuous screw, extending the length of the cylinder, forms a spiral chamber. By placing the lower end in water and revolving the screw, water is raised to the top."

It is a form of renewable resource by using hydropower. The basic principle is depicted on the image below in which a handle at the top is used to bring the water from the lower level to the top and onto an elevated pool.

The goal of this design project is to create a self-sustaining, infinite power supply using a watermill and a mach generator to generate voltage.
